- Get 'em ready: Unpack and process your flowers immediately. Begin by removing foliage below water level to prevent rotting. Start with the most expensive and problem flowers.
- Nip it in the bud: Ethylene kills. Flower exposed to ethylene fail to open or have wilted appearance. Blocking ethylene should be done as a pretreatment at all levels of the floral industry.
- Get butting: Give all flowers a fresh cut. It helps ensure hydration.
- Do the Dip: Use Floralife’s Quick Dip® instant hydrating treatment to help ensure hydration and a free flowering stem. This can be especially helpful with field grown crops. It’s a must for roses and gerbera daisies to help prevent bent necks.
- Please feed: Place flowers in a flower food solution. They need to be nourished for maximum enjoyment.
